Michelle Riederer, MD, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist for the Division of Mental Health and Child Development at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the UCSF Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. 

Her clinical focus is on Consultation-Liaison psychiatry which includes providing psychiatric care to medically hospitalized youth at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, and consulting to inpatient pediatric providers and trainees. She is passionate about improving access to care for youth across a continuum of care settings including in primary care and in the acute hospital-based setting. 

She completed her bachelor's degree at Dartmouth College, medical school at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, adult psychiatry residency training at New York University, and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Stanford University.

Dr. Riederer is the CAPP Associate Director for Community Engagement Liaison.
