
Ryan Rampersaud, MD, PhD
Ryan Rampersaud, MD, PhD is a child and adolescent psychiatrist in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the UCSF Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Rampersaud completed his MD and PhD in Microbiology/Immunology at Columbia University, and his psychiatry residency and child and adolescent fellowship at UCSF. Dr. Rampersaud has interests in the treatment of mood disorders and the impact of trauma on mental health. His research focuses on understanding the role of the human gut microbiome in the development of psychiatric disease and biological mechanisms by which early life adversity affects physical and mental health.
