Zara Szeftel, MD, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist in the Division of Mental Health and Child Development at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the UCSF Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She provides clinical care in the outpatient clinics at Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.

Dr. Szeftel completed her bachelor's degree in psychology at UC Berkeley, medical school at Ben Gurion University’s Medical School for International Health in Israel, adult psychiatry residency training at UC San Diego, and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at UCLA.
